What did this fund actually do?

Every open ended fund in India, with the numbers most tools show and the two they usually bury: the worst twelve months anyone holding it lived through, and the deepest fall it has ever taken.

We do not rank funds and we will not tell you which to buy. That is advice, and it takes a registration we do not hold. What this does is show you the same facts a professional would start from.

Or start from a category

Search for a fund, or pick a category, to see what it did.

You can put two side by side.

Reading these numbers

Returns are past, not promise

Anything under a year is shown as a plain change, never annualised. Turning three months into a yearly figure is the commonest way these tools flatter a fund.

The worst twelve months is the honest one

Not the worst calendar year, the worst stretch from any starting day. It is what someone who bought at the wrong moment actually lived through.

Recovery time matters more than the fall

A 30% fall you sat through for eleven months is a different experience from the same fall that took four years to come back. Both are shown.
